PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION PRIOR TO
PROCEEDING WAX TREATMENT:
To ensure 100% efficacy in the application of eu-can-wax and subsequent hair removal, it is important that you note the following information prior to use.
There are two main types of hair on the body:
VELLUS HAIR - fine, soft, downy non-pigmented hair.
TERMINAL HAIR - longer, coarser, pigmented hair which varies in shape, diameter, texture, length and colour. For stronger terminal hair on underarm, bikini and face, apply wax very thinly AGAINST the hair growth, press down cloth strip and remove WITH direction of hair growth. This is to define the section of hair to be removed and prevent wax enmeshing in remaining hairs.
This product contains natural ingredients which may cause skin irritation to certain individuals. A skin sensitivity test according to accompanying directions should be made before use. If you have any known allergies to any of the ingredients used in eu can wax you would be advised not to use this product.
Do not wax over eczema, dermatitis, moles, cuts, recent scar tissue, varicose veins, warts, rashes, bruising, broken or sunburned skin. Wax treatments are not recommended for diabetics, the elderly, or people with loose, thin, delicate or crepey skin. As a precaution, do not wax if you are using the anti-wrinkling cream tretinoin (Retin-A), any skin lotion containing glycolic acid, or acne medications, particularly Roaccutane.
PREPARATION
Make sure the area to be treated is completely clean and free of moisture and oil. Do not use any lotions before hand as the eu-can-wax will not stick. If the climate is hot or humid, dust the area to be waxed with talc to help eu-can-wax grip. For the best benefit, your hair should not be less than 1/2cm long. This allows the wax to grip the hair properly. If the hair is long, you will need to cut it to approximately 1cm before waxing. eu-can-wax should be stored upright below 30C. In cooler climates the wax may harden slightly. Simply place the jar in warm water for a few minutes to soften.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Find the direction of hair growth. Using spatula provided, dip up to 3cm into the wax. Use the edge of the spatula and apply a firm pressure to spread the wax in a thin film along the direction of hair growth. The thinner the layer of wax, the better the result. Start with a thin wax strip around 5-10cm long by 3-5cm wide. Place the epilation cloth on top of the wax. Press and smooth down in direction of hair growth to make contact with the hairs. Leave 3-4cm of cloth free of wax to be used as a tag for pulling off. Take the tag end of the cloth and quickly strip it away from the skin against the hair growth, keeping the cloth down close to the skin surface. Any wax that is left can be removed with the epilation cloth.
LEGS
While sitting in this position apply eu can wax thinly in the direction of hair growth. Use firm pressure on the spatula to ensure a thin wax film. The size of the epilation cloth strip determines the maximum area you can
wax at one time. Apply the strip then quickly and firmly pull back against the direction of the hair growth.
BIKINI LINE
Hold skin tight and apply eu can wax thinly in the direction of hair growth. Wax this area in small sections.
While still holding skin tight, apply the epilation cloth and pull against the hair growth in one quick movement.
STOMACH
Hair on the stomach grows from both the right and the left into the centre. Therefore waxing needs to be done in two stages. Hold skin tight and apply eu can wax thinly in the direction of hair growth. While still holding skin tight, apply the epilation cloth and pull from the centre of the stomach to the left side. Repeat the process for the right side.
FACE
(Handy hint use Calico Strips for removing facial hair).
When removing hair from your chin, tilt your head right back, hold skin tight and apply eu-can-wax thinly in the direction of hair growth. Use firm pressure on the spatula to ensure a thin wax film. While still holding skin tight, apply the epilation cloth and pull against the hair growth in one quick movement.
ARMS
Arm should be positioned so skin is taut. Apply eu-can-wax thinly in the direction of hair growth. Apply cotton strip and pull back quickly and firmly against the hair growth.
TOP LIP
You’ll need to wax your lip in two stages. Hold skin tight and apply eu can wax to the right side of your lip. Apply wax thinly in the direction of the hair growth with the tip of the spatula. While still holding skin tight, apply the epilation cloth and pull against the hair growth in one quick movement. Repeat for the left side of your lip and if necessary, directly underneath your nose.
UNDERARM
Pull the skin under your arm very tightly. As underarm hair tends to grow in different directions, you’ll need to apply eu can wax upwards for the top section and downwards for the bottom section of your armpit. While still holding skin tight, with your elbow up and well back, apply the epilation cloth and pull against the hair growth in one very quick movement. The epilation cloth must be peeled, not lifted, in one quick, firm and aggressive movement due to hair density in your armpits.
EYEBROWS
This is a very sensitive area of the skin so take extreme care to prevent wax dripping into the eyes. While holding skin tightly, apply eu can wax underneath the eyebrow with the tip of the spatula in the direction of the hair growth. If wax is not over the desired area you can wash it off and start again. While still holding skin
tight, apply the epilation cloth and pull against the hair growth in one quick movement. Remember to pull back along the strip and not upwards.
TIPS
Cotton strips can be handwashed in warm water and reused.
Cotton strips are recommended for removing hair from legs, arms and bikini line.
Calico strips are recommended for removing facial hair.
Daily use of a loofah mitt when showering or bathing will help to avoid in-grown hair. It is also wise to avoid waxing before menstruation as fluid retention can make waxing more painful. Store and seal eu can wax at room temperature. Avoid contact with water, as wax may become ineffective.
SKIN SENSITIVITY TEST
A sensitivity test should be done 24 hours prior to application of this product. This will establish any allergic reaction you may have to eu-can-wax. Clean a small patch of skin inside of the elbow or inside of wrist and apply a small amount of product to the area. Leave the area untouched for 24 hours (a small band aid can be used to protect this area) then remove. If no redness, irritation, itchiness or inflammation occurs - the product may be applied. If any irritation or reaction should occur, immediately discontinue use.
AFTER WAX CARE
Any wax residue can be washed off in water. Because your hair has been removed from the roots, it is normal to experience a slight redness of the skin and a tingling sensation. Gently massaging the waxed area, can greatly reduce the tingling sensation. You may find that the application of a cold wet flannel will calm the skin. Using a damp cloth, wipe any spills from neck of jar prior to replacing lid.
Replace lid after use to ensure wax remains at spreading consistency.Searching for a hair removal method that is natural, affordable, and effective? Try eu-can-wax®.
